CIHBS professors give talks as BRI public lecture
BRI hosted a public lecture on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at BRI's Center for Integrated Human Brain Science building.
The lecture focused on stroke and memory loss, both of which are familiar to everyone. People of all ages showed up to listen despite the hot weather.
The 90-minute talks, given by Prof Hironaka Igarashi (Dept of Biological Magnetic Resonance) and Prof Hitoshi Shimada (Dept of Functional Neurology & Neurosurgery) were about brain diseases with easy-to-understand illustrations and images along with cases and some quizzes.
After the talks, participants took a tour of CIHBS facility. A variety of questions came from participants having a rare opportunity to look at a PET scanner.
We received positive feedbacks from participants, which will help us boost our future events.
