Asian Forum on Alzheimer's & Dementia 2020 at Tokyo

The Asian Forum on Alzheimer's & Dementia (AFAD) 2020 in Tokyo was held at Hotel Mielparque Tokyo on February 8, 2020.

AFAD has started from 2018 aiming to promote genome and biomarker research on dementia in East Asia. Prof Kun Ho Lee (Chosun University, South Korea), Prof Jianping Jia (Capital Medical University, China) and Prof Takeshi Ikeuchi (Niigata University, Japan) are the core leadership team of the event. This year's host was Dept of Molecular Genetics, BRI.

Despite some of the researchers from China and South Korea called off their attendance due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, the event drew to a successful close. The forum came to an end with a consensus that genome and biomarker research on dementia in East Asia shall be enhanced through such meetings. We look forward to future development.
