Dr Kitaura receives Juhn and Mary Wada Prize

Dr Hiroki Kitaura (Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Dept of Pathology) awarded the Juhn and Mary Wada Prize at the 53rd Annual Congress of the Japan Epilepsy Society on October 31- November 2, 2019.

Juhn and Mary Wada Prize was established by the Japan Epilepsy Society (JES) to honour the achievement of Professor Wada, a Japanese-born neurologist who is internationally known for epilepsy expert, and his wife. The prize is awarded to young researchers in epileptology in Japan to encourage their research.

Dr Kitaura has been recognized for his published article "Pathophysiological characteristics associated with epileptogenesis in human hippocampal sclerosis." (EBioMedicine, 2018) along with his contribution to JES.
