Media Coverage: Prof Ikeuchi on dementia - Asahi Shimbun

BRI Professor Takeshi Ikeuchi (Dept of Molecular Genetics) contributed an article on dementia for the Asahi Shimbun's features "I no Techo (Medical Notebook)". (December 1 & 15, 2018, the Asahi Shimbun Niigata local edition)

Started in November 2011, the regular feature articles that an array of medical experts gives a clear commentary on a specific medical issue have been enjoyed by many readers.

In an article of Dec 1, Prof Ikeuchi provides tips for someone diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to reduce their chances of MCI progressing to dementia. He also talks about an association between loss of sense of smell and cognitive decline in a Dec 15 article.
