Annual memorial service for animals held

A memorial service for animals was held at BRI conference room on Monday, October 11, 2021.

The campus-wide memorial services are held every year to acknowledge the contribution of animals to excellence in research and teaching at Niigata University. To reduce the risk of COVID-19, the memorial service minimized crowing by staggering arrivals and departures of the venue. In total of 216 faculty members and students from BRI, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry turned up for laying flowers to show appreciation, comfort the sprit, and console the souls.

The memorial service was followed by an online lecture by Dr Tadashi Okamura of National Center for Global Health and Medicine. 72 audience participated in the lecture.211011.ireisai_pic_1.jpg
