Dr Fujito awarded Shiseido Female Researcher Science Grant

BRI Associate Professor Dr Naoko Fujito (Department of System Pathology for Neurological Disorders -Laboratory for Evolutionary Brain Pathology) has been awarded the 17th Shiseido Female Researcher Science Grant.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Shiseido Female Researcher Science has supported research across various fields in the natural sciences (including science, engineering, and life sciences). Each year, up to 10 female researchers are selected to receive the grant, with the aim of fostering the development of future leaders in science and technology.

 10 researchers were selected from 107 applicants for the 17th Shiseido Female Researcher Science Grant. The award ceremony was held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Shiseido Global Innovation Center, where Dr Fujito was recognized for her research, "Understanding APOBEC3 and Cancer from an Evolutionary Perspective."
