Dr Saito wins award at Japanese Medical Science Federation Rising Star Retreat

BRI Assistant Professor Dr Rie Saito (Dept of Pathology Neuroscience) was honored with the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award for her presentation entitled "Development of 3D Digital Pathology and Understanding of Age-related Brain Diseases/Cerebral Small Vessel Disease" at the 3rd Japanese Medical Science Federation Rising Star Retreat, held in Hokkaido from June 19-21, 2024.

The aim of the retreat is to provide young researchers from various medical fields, such as pharmacology, biochemistry, and infectious diseases, with an opportunity to interact and inspire one another, thereby revitalizing basic medical science.

Dr Saito participated in the retreat upon the recommendation of the Japanese Society of Neuropathology.
