Professor Ikeuchi receives Niigata Nippo Bunka Award

The recipients of the Niigata Nippo Bunka Award, announced on October 23, gathered at the Niigata Nippo Media Ship for the awarding ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Among the distinguished attendees was BRI Professor Takeshi Ikeuchi (Dept of Molecular Genetics), who received recognition in the academic category. Akira Sato, President of Niigata Nippo, presented him with a certificate and a bronze statue.

The Niigata Nippo Bunka Award is conferred upon individuals and groups who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the development of Niigata Prefecture. Professor Ikeuchi received this prestigious award in recognition of his significant contributions to uncovering the pathology of dementia and advancing diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

The ceremony was featured on the front page of Niigata Nippo's publication dated November 2, 2023.
