Prof Shimada wins Japanese Society of Neurology 2022 Award

Professor Hitoshi Shimada (Dept of Functional Neurology and Neurosurgery) received the Japanese Society of Neurology 2022 Award.

The award is given at the annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology to honor those who have contributed to the development and improvement of the field of neurology through active involvement in research, education, and clinical practice at universities, hospitals, clinics, and other institutions.

Prof Shimada has been recognized for his research on "Pathological imaging of the brain that contributes to elucidating the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases and promoting the drug discovery process."

The award ceremony was held during the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology (Tokyo International Forum, May 18 - 21, 2022).
