Dr Sugai wins Serika Fund Award

BRI Assistant Professor Akihiro Sugai (Dept of Molecular Neuroscience) has been awarded the 3^rd Serika Fund award.

The aim of the Serika Fund is to encourage researchers to discover treatments and a cure for ALS. The fund is supported by donations from generous sponsors. The fund is named after Serika, a character of a Japanese comic series "Space Brothers", who lost her father to ALS. The awardees received the artwork of "Space Brothers".

This honor will hopefully catalyze the advancement of his research on ALS.
