9th Meeting on Neurodegeneration

I gave a special lecture, “Molecular pathology of Parkinson’s disease as seen in small fishes,” at the 9th Meeting on Neurodegeneration in Wakayama. The chair, Prof. Hidefumi Ito, is now dean and professor of neurology at Wakayama Medical University. When I was a graduate student he taught me a great deal about research and later wrote a recommendation for a personnel matter — I owe him a lot. I also used to see outpatients at Wakayama Red Cross when I was young, so it was a long, nostalgic trip. It is the season for good mandarins.
