In their words
Neurodegenerative diseases reflect the inherent limitations of human life, where degeneration is an extreme manifestation. With a clinical background, I developed an interest in their impact on patients, motivating me to explore underlying mechanisms. By turning gradual change into observable breakdown, these diseases raise a fundamental question — can human identity be reduced to molecular mechanisms? I aim to study neurodegeneration at a mechanistic level.
