BRI Global Collaborative Research Project FY2018 Call for Proposals

Brain Research Institute, Niigata University was certificated as a Joint Usage / Research Center by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in 2010. Our extensive collection of brain disease resource and expertise have been open to the neuroscientists' community in Japan. BRI's diverse joint research projects in neuropathology and related fields have brought out a great deal of achievement in relation to unraveling the pathological mechanism of brain disease.

From April 2016 onwards, BRI intends to enhance global partnerships as the collaborative research center for brain diseases utilizing neuropathological resources.

BRI is now calling for the Global Collaborative Research Project in fiscal year 2018.

1.Neuropathological specimens of brain disease
2.Genome analysis on brain disease
3.Production and analysis on animal resources of brain disease
4.Translational research focused on the development of non-invasive imaging analysis technique
5.Open research utilizing BRI resources
