Cooperation agreement signed with Kazan State Medical University

On September 24, 2019, BRI signed a framework cooperation agreement with Kazan State Medical University, the third oldest medical university in Russia.
BRI deputy director Prof Akiyoshi Kakita (Dept of Pathology) visited Kazan for the signing ceremony.

Niigata University delegation was warmly welcomed by KSMU faculty and got briefed on KSMU. The parties then discussed prospects of exchange and cooperation that strengthen the existing relationship between two universities. The agreement was signed by Prof Kakita and Vice-Rector for science and innovations Dr Ilshat Mustafin, followed by a tour of KSMU departments and laboratories.

Having developed a valuable relationship between BRI and KSMU over the years regarding a joint research project on Alzheimer's disease, this agreement will reinforce collaborative research utilizing mutual strengths. BRI will continue to promote exchange and cooperation in research.
